JAMB NIN Verification Process for 2025/2026

1. Linking via SMS

Irrespective of the mobile device you’re carrying, simply text your NIN Number to 55019 or 66019 and immediately you will receive a profile code which indicates that the process is successful.

2. Online Linking

Log in to JAMB e-facility portal using your registered email address and password, navigate to “link NIN” on the menu, input your National Identification Number and click submit. A dialogue box will pop-up showing you a confirmation message.

3. Link at CBT Centers

If you find any of the above methods challenging, simply visit the nearest JAMB accredited center with your NIN and communicate with available staff to help you with the process.

How to Get National Identification Number (NIN)

As we earlier said, if you do not have a valid National Identification Number (NIN) below are the steps on how to get one.

1. Carry Relevant Documents

The first step is to get the right documents which in this context is Birth Certificate and Certificate of Origin or any other valid ID card like Driver’s license or voter’s card.

2. Go to the Nearest NIMC Office

Next step is to visit the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) office closest to you. Ensure it is an accredited enrollment center and remember to go with your birth certificate, state of origin certificates or utility bill etc.

3. Complete NIN Registration Form

Upon arrival, NIMC will provide you NIN registration form to fill, complete the form carefully by providing only correct and authentic information about yourself.

4. Biometric Capturing

After your form is reviewed, you will taken for biometric capturing and photograph after which you will be offered the first registration slip.

5. Get Your National Identification Number (NIN)

Seven (7) days after the initial registration, you will return to the NIMC office with the first slip given to you and a second print out will be issued. It is on this second print out, that you will see your National Identification Number (NIN).

4. Unlinked NIN

If your NIN fails to link to your JAMB profile, it could be due to network issues.
